5Better than an iPod  Dec 02, 2008 By Brandi K "Stanggirlie"
I first got a Zune 2 years ago for xmas. My hubby and I loved it so much we'd fight over which one of us got to use it. This year, I bought the special edition Gears of War edition for my hubby since he loves that game.

The best part of Zune is the firmware updates. His zune came with the latest updates that included games. When I plugged mine "old" zune in, I got the update and recieved the games also. So no matter what, your zune can only get better!

I have friends that have iPods and they always drool over my Zune. The songs are cheaper also overall. And since it's Micrsoft, if you have any Microsoft, Xbox, or Zune points, they all work the same so you can use them to buy songs if you want. All it takes is a Windows Live ID. WE LOVE OUR ZUNES!

5Extremely Cool!  Nov 08, 2008 By S. Taylor "Gamer"
This is my 3rd Zune from Microsoft. I used up all the memory on my 80 gig, so I decided to buy a Zune 120, and also decided to shell out the extra 20$(?) for the Gears of War Content. I must say, this Zune is very sexy. It's sleek, shiny, and has has an awesome logo on the back. The only thing I was disappointed with was the standard headphones. They sound good, but the premium ones that came with my 80 gig are exceptionally better. If you are a gamer and want a Zune, this one is definitely the one to get, even for the Gears of War swag that's comes along with it.

5iWhat?  Jan 08, 2009 By CoDemos
I had a 160GB iPod Classic and I was rather impressed with it but then after seeing friend's Zunes and how much more user friendly and sleek they looked always wanted one larger than an 80GB....then Microsoft answered my prayers and made not only a 120GB monster they made one with Gears of War 2 stuff on it!! I finally jumped upon the Zune band wagon and I'm far more impressed with the Zune than the iPod....it feels really nice in your hand and the iPod seems much heavier....the Zune also seems less prone to destruction such as scratches and the likes as the iPod is cromed out and too shiny all around....but the Zune's laser etched back and design is less scratch prone and much nicer looking all together.....the "Crimson Omen" on the Gears 2 edition is extra nice...giving it the look gamers and Gears of War fans will drool over......sound quality wise I will give the edge to the Zune as well...for some reason I was listening to my iPod with Bose headphones and noticed far more distortion and crackling in the headphones than the Zune which seemed pretty clear no matter what I listened to....and in my truck through the auxilary port the Zune also seemed to sound more clear and had more precise bass...not to mention the Zune's screen is about double the iPod's size and has better resolution it seems and the Gears of War pictures allows for some cool customizations.....all in all the Zune is a true iPod killer as someone mentioned before...I'm thoroughly impressed with the Zune functionality, sound quality, interface, and over all quality...not to mention the Zune Tunes is every bit as easy to use....drag and drop...a great MP3 player Microsoft has won this old iPod lover over! To protect your investment I recommend a screen protector and the clear Speck Dragon Toughskin so you can still see the ultra-cool "Crimson Omen" etched on the back of your awesome Zune. :-)

5Many iPods ago.....  Jan 13, 2009 By G. Chadwell "Pempfist71"
I believed they were the end all be all of mp3 devices..no longer.
This is a quality product and those before me have stated the positives of this player, I won't repeat them.

As a long time (6 years) iPod user I was convinced to switch after using a friends Zune. I do not dislike my iPod but the Zune feels fresh to me.

I bought the GoW 2 Edition because it's a great game, but I am a fanatic over limited edition anything lol. The Crimson Omen on the back is awesome, the content is..OK, but nothing to squeel about.

I am 100% satisfied with this purchase.
