Solid iPhone Stand Sep 18, 2009
By S. M. Ota I've been looking for a stand for my new iPhone 3GS and I've have visited so many different websites during my search. I chose the M2 Mobile Stand because I wanted a stand that I could use without taking my phone out of its protective case. The stand is very well made and extremely solid. The M2 also has rubber feet on the bottom so it does not move around while it is on my desk so it is very easy to email or text while the iPhone is on the stand. The M2 is made of fairly thick but light weight metal and therefore it is not bendable, however the iPhone lies at a very comfortable angle while it is on the stand. It is very difficult to see in the manufacturer's photos; however the stand also has two small slots in the bottom "fingers" of the stand that matches the speakers on the bottom of the iPhone so the sound is not compromised (genius!).
The M2 will hold my iPhone in either the vertical or horizontal position comfortably and I can use a USB cord to charge the phone while it is in the stand. Aesthetically it looks better when it is charging vertically because the USB cord goes through the slot in the back of the stand; however it will charge horizontally as well so you can watch movies as it charges. I know some people will not be happy paying $30 for a stand with no power or docking cord but Apple supplies one with the iPhone so I'm just using that one. I think it is a great quality product and I'll be buying another one for my home computer. Well worth the money.
Pros: design, solid construction, able to hold iPhone without removing the protective case, slot in back of stand for USB cable, holes in bottom of stand for iPhone speakers. Cons: Non Adjustable

Simple, elegant stand for iPhone Feb 01, 2010
By R. E. Van Keuren

This stand holds the iPhone at a good angle both for looking at and for hearing the speaker. I like the fact that it can hold it comfortably either in portrait or landscape. I's attractive and looks like a tiny iMac. What I'd like to see next: a stand stable enough to allow full use of the touch screen without knocking it over.

Attractive, functional, also works great as NOOK Touch Stand! Jun 30, 2010
By N. Boone I bought the stand in Silver for my first generation iPhone and liked it. I LOVE it with my iPhone 4 since there's no shiny "chrome" to clash with the brushed finish of the stand. Paired with the Apple Wireless Keyboard (Retail Packaging) my iPhone looks like "Mini Me" next to my 27" iMac. I also like using the stand to hold my iPhone by the bed when running my alarm clock app. The narrower profile of the iPhone 4 means a wide variety of cases should be compatible with the non-adjustable stand.
The one thing I didn't like about the Elago M2 Mobile Stand and why I knocked a star off is that there was nothing provided to protect a naked iPhone from scraping against the aluminum. This was easily solved by applying Plasti-dip 12219 "Performix" Multi-purpose Rubber Coating 22 Oz. - Clear to any points of contact on the stand.
Update: While I still sometimes use this for my iPhone, my current favorite use for the Elago M2 is as a stand for my Barnes & Noble NOOK Touch eBook Reader (NEWEST model, WIFI Only)(aka Nook 2nd Edition). It provides a stable and attractive stand that allows for hands-free reading at a desk or table. I use it when eating or knitting, and I can tap the screen with a pinkie to "turn" pages. It also makes a nice charging stand, obviously in conjunction with a charging cable.
This is also my go-to "portable" stand. It may not fold, but it IS lightweight and sturdy. It easily fits in my overnight bag for use with my iPhone or Nook.

Simply a "Must Have" Mar 03, 2010

I bought this a few weeks ago and have had it on my desk in the office for that time period and it is not only highly functional, but adds a touch of elegance to the iPhone. My colleagues are jealous!! :-)
Worth the $$..

Form follows function Jul 05, 2010
By Marcia Girardi Did you ever buy something that served its function AND looked elegant and stylish? This little stand surpassed my expectations. It's a little sculpture that works like a charm. No moving parts, but, who cares? It stands dignified above the papers, files, notebooks, pens, and etcetera/ephemera on my desk. That's all. It just does what it's supposed to do, elegantly. If only the rest of life was so effortless.
